Binary Blogger Redirects Are Completed
1 min readIt’s been 24 hours since I made a couple DNS changes to get all the traffic routed, the RSS feeds calmed down and pulling from the right place and all the links redirecting back to the core. The old blog location I will leave up forever probably, old links back to it will break but redirect to the new blog but I don’t think that will be that big of a deal, short number of bookmarks and Twitter favorites that have those links and the re-use of them is low. Old news.
I will detail up the migration and how I did it. At the end of the day it was slick and much smoother than I had anticipated. Bluehost and the WordPress platform made it pretty easy if you are at a very low technical level to get it up and going.
Up next are a few cosmetic tasks: Build a Logo and a brand identity, update the bios, backend backups, traffic analyzer, security improvements on my backend DBs, and a few other housekeeping items.
It’s Sunday, time to relax a bit.
End of Line.
