Facebook Disabled My Account After 17 Years, They Are Wrong! Part 4 – Support Loop

3 min read

June 20th, 2024 Facebook’s automated systems suspended my Facebook account over a known Instagram linking vulnerability scammers are exploiting. This is not a rare event and if you look thousands of people are victims and suffering to this. They are victims from the scammers exploits and suffering from Meta / Facebook lack of support and addressing this known issue.

Meta needs to be investigated for their support model as the only way to get ‘real’ support or something that resembles a human is to pay for “Meta Verified” and use “enhanced support”. Which I have done and contacted them multiple times only to get responses back that I now know are automated. They might be created by a human but they are definitely not being written manually. \

I am not in a recursive, infinite loop of worthlessness with Meta support. Here the latest rinse and repeat email and I will explain how worthless this is to my situation.

We hope this email finds you well.

We greatly appreciate your time and patience while we look into your issue.

Thank you for contacting Meta Pro Team, and have a great day.

Let’s break this down –

  1. Their first instruction – To resolve this issue, we advise you to use our self-service options available to you to appeal this decision. You can request a review by opening the app, entering your username and password, and following the on-screen instructions.
    1. I CAN’T LOGIN!!! MY ACCOUNT IS SUSPENDED!!! I get the message as seen in the above screenshot. Since the Instagram account is not mine, I can’t login to the Instagram account. When I try to, Instagram says the account stated doesn’t exist.
  2. Let’s look at the next option – Alternatively, you may appeal via this link: https://www.facebook.com/hacked
    1. You need a working Facebook account to access this. If you can get to it through someone else’s working account you get tips to lock the account down but there is no form, appeal link or anything resembling sending in formation for an alleged appeal process.
  3. You continually ask and ask the ‘humans’ at enhanced support for a working link to this appeal process and you get an email similar to the one above.

$15/month for this long drawn out process. Does this seem like a smart Attorney General should look into for ripping people off and purposely dragging this out to keep getting monthly payments?

17 years…

Around and around I go.

I did mail in a paper letter to one of their corporate Privacy offices I saw in Reddit someone did and got their account back. So we’ll see how that goes.
